Head of Phanar meets with the Polish Church Primate in Warsaw
On March 27, 2022, Patriarch Bartholomew flew to Warsaw and on the same day met with the Primate of the Polish Church, Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw. This was written on his Facebook page by the V. Rev. Grand Syncellus Iakovos Krochak, who accompanied the patriarch as part of the official delegation of the head of Phanar.
According to the information on the website of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the official purpose of the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew to Poland is “to bless, console and strengthen the countless refugees taking shelter in the country following the outbreak of war in Ukraine.”
As the UOJ wrote earlier, the visit of the head of Phanar to Poland can be viewed as a purely political one.
