Primate of Albanian Church prays for peace with Ukrainian refugees

On April 26, 2022, the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Anastasios, prayed for peace in Ukraine during a meeting with refugees from our country in the monastery of St. Blaise in the Albanian village of Shenavlash, Durres district, church media Radio "Ngjallja" reports on its Fb page.

The Primate of the Albanian Church talked to the refugees and got familiar with their accommodation at the Durres Hospitality Center. “The archbishop prayed for peace in Ukraine, an end to the conflict and the speedy return of refugees to their homes,” the radio reported.

Archbishop Anastasios handed over sweet treats and icons to Ukrainian children, while refugees handed him handmade gifts for the Monastery and the House of Hope located there. Afterwards, the Ukrainians were offered a tour of the monastery complex and learnt about its history.

As reported by the UOJ, the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral prayed for peace with refugees from Ukraine.
