Council disagrees with ROC Patriarch’s position on war in Ukraine
The bishops, the clergy and the laity of the Local Council of the UOC have expressed their disagreement with the position of the Primate of the Russian Church regarding the war in Ukraine. This is stated in the second paragraph of the Resolution of the Council.
"We disagree with the position of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the war in Ukraine," the resolution said.
As reported, the Local Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church declared full independence from the Russian Orthodox Church.
