Serbian Patriarch presents Tomos of Autocephaly to Macedonian Church

On June 5, 2022, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, presented the head of the Macedonian Church, Archbishop Stefan, with the Tomos on Autocephaly of the Macedonian Church, the official website of the SOC reports.

Patriarch Porfirije led the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel in Belgrade. He was concelebrated by the Primate of the Macedonian Church, Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia, as well as hierarchs and clergy of the Serbian and Macedonian Churches.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia presented Archbishop Stefan with the Tomos confirming the autocephaly of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archdiocese.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Serbian Patriarch had officially proclaimed the autocephaly of the Macedonian Church.
