Head of DECR MP discusses with Vatican secretary relations of Churches

On August 4, 2022, a meeting was held at the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican between the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, and the Secretary of the Holy See for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, reports mospat.ru.

During a lengthy conversation, Metropolitan Anthony and Archbishop Gallagher discussed the ROC-RCC relationships.

The DECR Chairman arrived in Rome on an archpastoral visit on the affairs of the Administration of the ROC parishes in Italy.

As reported, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk believes that church unity is under great threat.
