Chairman of Rivne Regional Council, who banned the UOC, is fired
On August 12, 2022, during the regular session of the Rivne Regional Council of the 8th convocation, 42 deputies voted by secret ballot for the early termination of powers and dismissal of Serhiy Kondrachuk, chairman of the Rivne Regional Council. It is reported by horyn.info.
Kondrachuk, in turn, accused his fellow deputies of wanting to fire him because he is splitting society with his attempts to ban the UOC.
60 deputies out of 64 deputies registered in the session hall.
The draft decision "On the early termination of powers and dismissal of the chairman of the Rivne Regional Council Serhiy Kondrachuk" was preliminarily put on the agenda.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to Bishop Pimen, by his hate rhetoric in relation to the UOC, the head of the Rivne Regional Council got beyond the acceptable.
