OCU "metropolitan": Only 4 UOC priests out of 40 parishes defected to us

The Volyn "bishop" of the OCU Mykhailo Zinkevych said on the air of “Konkurent TV” that since the beginning of the war, 40 communities have transferred from the UOC to his diocese, and only in 4 cases parishes joined the OCU with priests.

"In accordance with the current legislation – i.e. meetings held, protocols properly approved and sent to the regional state administration, where they have already been registered or are in the last stages of signing – these are 40 parishes that have already been registered, left the subordination of UOC and joined the OCU," said Zinkevych. He added that there are approximately 450 parishes of the UOC in Volyn.

"We have only four out of 40 parishes transferred with the clergy," the "metropolitan" of the OCU admitted.

He explained this by the fact that UOC believers are "zombified" and urged the "relevant authorities" to "not only look for people with physical weapons but also listen to what they say and how they live". Zinkevych also promised to inform the SBU "about every person who is not on Ukrainian positions".

We remind you that in the Volyn eparchy, a UOC cleric who defected to the OCU has repented and returned to the canonical Church, while the OCU threatens believers and their families and continues to seize churches with the support of the authorities, despite the fact that criminal cases have been launched against the schismatics.
