Dumenko discusses "peaceful & free change of denomination" with Irpin mayor

On August 18, 2022, the head of the OCU Epifaniy Dumenko discussed the religious and interfaith situation in Ukraine with the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushin, reports pomisna.info.

"As a result, a common belief was approved that the basis for religious communities to change their own confessional affiliation is the peaceful, free and legal implementation of this process," the statement said.

As earlier reported, the Irpin mayor, Oleksandr Markushyn, organised a meeting of Mykhaylivka-Rubezhivka residents, at which the UOC community was illegally transferred to the OCU.
