Video of protests in Greece against "schismatic Epifaniy" published online
In northeastern Greece, residents of the city of Kavala held a large-scale protest on the eve of the arrival of Epifaniy, the head of the OCU, in the country. The video of the outraged Orthodox in the Greek streets was posted on her Facebook page by the head of the All-Ukrainian organization “Women's Power of Ukraine”, lawyer Viktoriya Kokhanovska.
The mass protest against Dumenko's arrival in Greece took place in front of St. Paul's Church. The protesters waved placards saying "No to the schismatic Epifaniy!". In order to maintain order, the authorities had to send reinforced police squads to the protesters.
On 4 September 2022, Epifaniy Dumenko "concelebrated" with the heads of the Phanar and Greek Church on the Greek island of Thassos. Believers of the Philippi, Naples and Thassos metropolises of the Greek Church protested against his arrival and distributed leaflets warning believers that Dumenko is not a canonical cleric.
As earlier reported, more than 400 laymen of the Greek Church called on their metropolitan not to serve with Dumenko. Also, the Athonite elders spoke out against the OCU head's visit to Greece.
As the UOJ wrote, Dumenko discussed with the British Ambassador the OCU development.
