Doctors say treatment shows no improvement as the bishop’s internal organ function continues to decline; faithful urged to intensify prayers.

CHERKASY — On Dec. 1, 2025, the press service of the Cherkasy Diocese reported on the health condition of Met. Theodosiy, who remains in the hospital after UOJ sources alleged that he was poisoned by unknown substances. According to the statement, treatment has not yet produced any positive results.

Moreover, despite intensive therapy, negative diagnostic indicators concerning his internal organs continue to worsen.

“Doctors are conducting comprehensive diagnostics, but the cause of the deterioration in the bishop’s health has not yet been determined. We ask all Orthodox Christians to intensify their prayers for the health and salvation of Met. Theodosiy,” the statement said.

Previously, UOJ reported that sources had said the hierarch was poisoned.
