# Met. Theodosiy of Cherkasy Hospitalized, In Critical Condition

**KYIV —** On November 28, 2025, the press service of the Cherkasy Eparchy reported that Met. Theodosiy was urgently hospitalized in critical condition.

The diagnosis has not been disclosed yet, according to a [report from the UOJ's Ukraine bureau](https://spzh.eu/ua/news/89284-cherkaskoho-mitropolita-hospitalizuvali-u-kritichnomu-stani). However, unconfirmed sources claim the Metropolitan suffered a heart attack.

Met. Theodosiy is known for his staunch support for canonical Orthodoxy and his opposition to LGBT ideology.

All Orthodox Christians are asked to pray for the bishop's recovery.
