**ISTANBUL —** On December 14, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew ordained Metropolitan-elect Gregory as the new Metropolitan of Ankara at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in the Phanar.

The Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by several hierarchs, including Metropolitans Damaskinos of Didymoteicho, Anthimos of Alexandroupolis, Cyril of Imbros and Tenedos, and others.

In his pre-ordination address, Pat. Bartholomew praised Gregory's faithful service as Grand Protosyncellus, expressing confidence he would embody the "spirit of the Phanar" through tradition, pastoral care, and openness. He also emphasized ecclesiastical continuity and dynamic ministry.
