# Abp. Daniel Urges Deep Prayer During Holy Week

**CHICAGO, IL —** His Eminence Abp. Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest has issued a [pastoral message](https://domoca.org/archbishop-sends-greetings-to-midwest-clergy-before-holy-week-and-pascha/) to clergy ahead of Holy Week and Pascha, calling them to renewed spiritual focus during the Church’s most sacred season.

In his message, the archbishop urged priests to immerse themselves fully in the liturgical life of the Church, writing, “I encourage each of you to enter deeply into the services of Holy Week with prayer, reverence, and pastoral attentiveness.” He emphasized the role of clergy in guiding the faithful through the solemn and transformative journey from Christ’s Passion to His Resurrection.
