**IAȘI, ROMANIA —** Approximately 30,000 people participated in the annual “Path of the Saints” procession in Iași, Romania, accompanying the relics of St. Paraskeva and St. Paisius of Sihăstria [through the city streets](https://doxologia.ro/mii-de-suflete-rugaciune-pe-cale-cu-sfintii-sfanta-parascheva-sfantul-paisie-au-binecuvantat), according to estimates from the “Alexandru cel Bun” Mobile Gendarmerie Group.

The procession was attended by Metr. Theophanes of Moldova and Bukovina, Bp. Nichifor of Botoșaneanul, clergy, and pilgrims from across Romania. More than 120,000 pilgrims had also passed by the canopy housing the relics of the two saints.

The procession followed a traditional route along Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard and several central streets, stopping at Cuza Vodă Maternity Hospital, St. Sava Church, and the Monastery of the Three Holy Hierarchs before returning to Iași’s Metropolitan Cathedral.

At the conclusion, Metr. Theophanes thanked the pilgrims for traveling to Iași and reflected on the spiritual example of the two saints. “I believe that for this reason, the believers feel that in Saint Paraskeva, in particular, there is something special, probably her prayer, her sacrifice, her capacity for patience, and especially her power to carry in her prayers the suffering of the world,” he said.
