Bishop Longin (Krco): Metropolitan Onuphry is a Man of Big Faith (VIDEO)

A representative of the Serbian Orthodox Church bishop Longin expressed his support for Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Onuphry and deplored the interference of politicians into affairs of the Ukrainian Church.

“I’ve known well vladyka Onuphry since he studied in the Academy and was a monk in St. Sergius Holy Trinity Lavra. I congratulate him on His Angel Day and wish Him good health in His hard service in the Church and for the Orthodox people in Ukraine”, said bishop Longin.

“It’s a well-known fact that His Beatitude has been bearing his big cross in complicated conditions and we all love him as a man of big faith, deep humility, and committed to the Church. The man who has never sought any awards, but followed Christ humbly and meekly, like the Gospel teaches”, remarked the hierarch of the Serbian Church.

“We all feel sorry about his facing such huge problems, which are caused by political actors – the people who have nothing to do with the Church”, emphasized His Eminence.
