Metropolitan Alexander (Drabinko) brings Filaret’s press secretary to Israel

Metropolitan Alexander (Drabinko) of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky and Vishnevsky, visited Israel, accompanied by the press secretary of the head of the self-proclaimed Kiev Patriarchate. This is evidenced by the photos that the bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church posted on his Facebook page.

Within the framework of the pilgrimage to Israel, Bishop Alexander met with the Primate of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem Theophilos III. The meeting was attended by Yuri O. Doroshenko, the press secretary and advisor of the head of the UOC-KP, along with the accompanying the Metropolitan clergy.

"Jerusalem. As usual, we were warmly welcomed by the Patriarch of the Mother of Churches. We thank his Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos for blessing and prayer. We also attended the presentation of the restoration work of the Aedicule of the Holy Sepulcher," wrote about the meeting Alexander (Drabinko).

The bishop did not explain how the representative of the dissenters got to the meeting with the Patriarch.

Yuri Doroshenko has been holding the position of press secretary and advisor on public relations and political-legal issues of the head of the Kiev Patriarchate Filaret since 2000. He is decorated with the orders of the UOC-KP and the UAOC. In 2012 he published the book "Without Tenets. Religious Lines," which won the book rating of the National-Social party of Ukraine.
