More than one day UOC faithful continue to stand in prayer to protest seizure of their church by Uniates (VIDEO)

In Kolomyia, the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have been standing in prayer at their church for more than a day to prevent its raider seizure by Greek Catholics. As reported by a UOJ source, parishioners are surrounded by Uniates shouting out insults and threats.

The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kolomyia, near which the prayerful standing is now being performed, is sealed.

On June 4, on the Day of Pentecost, Greek Catholics occupied it. Local authorities sealed the temple not to aggravate the religious conflict.

On June 6, at 15:00, a "round table" was held in Kolomyia, which tried to resolve the issue of the ownership of the church.

The UOJ is closely following developments.
