Materials about situation around church in Kolomyia transmitted to Vatican

The delegation of the UOC passed on the information about the situation around the Annunciation Church of the UOC in Kolomyia to the representative of the Vatican at the international organizations in Vienna.

During the OSCE conference in Vienna, Bishop Victor (Kotsaba) and Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich told the representative of the Holy See F. Hansen that the church is still blocked and believers cannot hold worship services there.

F. Hansen, a representative of the Vatican State, is an official diplomat of the state authorized to receive communications and statements on behalf of other participating States, representatives of religious organizations and human rights defenders.

The meeting took place at the OSCE conference on countering discrimination against Christians, held on June 22-23 in Vienna. From the UOC, it was attended by the deputy head of the DECR of the UOC Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich and the legal counsellor of the Kiev Metropolis of the UOC, the head of the NGO "Public Advocacy" Oleg Denisov.
