ROC representative calls to include Church Slavonic in the school curriculum

It is advisable to include learning of basic Church Slavonic in the school curriculum. This was said by the press secretary of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, priest Alexander Volkov on June 24, reports Tsargrad TV.

According to Volkov, the Church Slavonic language has "beautiful poetics", which is worth studying.

In addition, the Patriarchate believes, it would be nice to learn the basics of the Church Slavonic language at school "for a common cultural level."

"This is important even from the point of view of the overall cultural and intellectual development of the young man," Volkov stressed.
