A night cross procession held around Odessa (PHOTO)

With the blessing of His Eminence Agafangel, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail, around the city of Odessa, a nightly procession was held with the relics of St. Martyr Boniface. It is reported on the website of the eparchy.

All night there were molebens and akathists, which were led by Archpriest Alexander Volkonsky in collaboration with Odessa-based clergy. All this time, prayers for healing and illnesses were offered: against alcohol-addiction, drug addiction, smoking, fornication and many other afflictions.

Traditions of holding night cross procession around Odessa are 19 years old. It gathers pilgrims from all over Ukraine, who together with clergymen, accompanied by sanctities; make a detour around the city with a prayer for peace and prosperity of Ukraine and Odessa region.
