UOC tells Polish diplomats about an interfaith situation in Lviv region

Bishop Philaret of Lviv and Galich on July 6 met with Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, Mr. Rafal Volsky, in the Eparchial Administration. This is reported on the website of Lviv eparchy of the UOC.

The meeting was also attended by the hierarch of the Polish Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Lublin and Helm Abel.

The conversation between Vladyka Filaret and Mister Rafal touched on the issue of relations between Orthodox eparchies of Ukraine and Poland.

The Archpastor also spoke about church-state and inter-confessional relations in Lviv region.

Earlier, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs declared Poland will veto a potential entry of Ukraine into the EU, unless historical contradictions are eliminated and minority rights issues are resolved.
