10 000 believers see in “Desiatinnaya” icon of the Holy Virgin in Kamenets-Podolsky (PHOTO)

On July 9 in Kamenets-Podolsky over 10 000 parishioners of the UOC saw in a miraculous icon of the Mother of God “Desiatinnaya”. As it is reported by the UOJ correspondent, at the event there were also 60 clergymen of the eparchy led by Metropolitan of Kamenets-Podolsky and Gorodok Theodore.

The miracle-working icon arrived in the eparchy from Chernovtsy.

The UOC believers held a cross procession with the icon from the “Novyi” bridge to St. Prince Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Near the miraculous icon a night vigil was held with reading an Acathistos to the Mother of God.

The temple was opened during the night so that all believers would be able to bend before the shrine.
Upon the blessing of His Beatitude Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, on the occasion of 25th anniversary of Kharkov Council of Bishops and anniversary of the Rus Baptism, the UOC eparchies exchange ancient and newly appeared icons. All sanctities will participate in a traditional moleben event on St. Vladimir’s Hill in Kiev on July 27th.
