Filaret proponents decide to teach SBU how to fight with UOC

On July 28 in Kiev there was a round table with participation of representatives of SBU and UOC KP. In the course of the session KP member Alexander Shmurigin declared that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church poses a threat to the national security of Ukraine, writes RISU.

The Filaret proponent accused the UOC of cultivating separatist sentiments in Ukraine and creating a conflict atmosphere in the Ukrainian society.

He also shared his thoughts on legal measures that would speed up the neutralization of the UOC.

At the same time, representatives of the world community and representatives of the Church repeatedly stressed that the Kyiv Patriarchate provokes interfaith conflicts in Ukraine and takes over temples of the UOC.

Earlier, the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk (Alfeyev) accused the representatives of the self-proclaimed Kiev Patriarchate of raider seizures of temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
