Ukrainian documentary about Athos receives TEFI-Commonwealth award
"A thousand years on Mount Athos" by Ukrainian documentary makers tells the story of the Holy Mount through the Athonites themselves.
The author of the project stressed that the film is dedicated to a thousand-year-old monastic tradition which originated in Kiev Rus due to the feat of St. Anthony of the Caves.
The "TEFI-Commonwealth" TV festival was held from September 14 to 17 in Minsk, and its theme was "The Documentary Screen". This year, 20 films from 19 TV companies and more than 10 countries were submitted for evaluation and discussion.
