Jewish Committee outraged at opening the monument to OUN fighter in Zhitomir

A monument to Oleg Olzhych, an active figure of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), was opened in Zhytomyr, which aroused indignation in the Jewish community. Director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee Eduard Dolinsky on his Facebook page describes some of the anti-Semitic actions of Olzhych.

"Together with Ivan Rogach, he organizes the newspaper" Ukrainian Word ", in which anti-Semitic articles were regularly published," writes Dolinsky. “So, during the mass murder of Jews in Babi Yar, the article "The main enemy of the people is a jude" appeared in this newspaper."

At the opening of the monument in Zhytomyr there were "priests" of the Kyiv Patriarchate. The monument was consecrated by UAOC "archbishop" Vladimir.
