UOC: We stand for preserving the integrity of the Ukrainian state

As reported by a UOJ correspondent, the head of the Synodal Information and Education Department of the UOC, Archbishop Clement (Vecheria), said that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has consistently advocated preserving the integrity of the Ukrainian state. The archbishop expressed such an opinion on December 5 at a press conference in the UNIAN dedicated to the results of the Bishops' Council of the ROC.

"At the Council, we emphasized our position on the issues that are now problematic for Ukraine and Russia," said Archbishop Clement. "I should especially note that all the administrative bodies of the UOC are in Kiev, all decisions are made in Kiev, administrative activities are also carried out from Kiev."

At the same time, the head of the Information and Education Department of the UOC stressed that the Council of Bishops paid more attention to the solution of religious issues, rather than political ones.
