Volyn doctors are forced to donate money to KP church, – social networks

Medical workers feel desperate from such arbitrariness and illegal actions, said the secretary of the public council of the Vladimir-Volyn Regional State Administration Valentina Borusevich in the group "Shame of the princely city" on Facebook.

The activist is outraged at the fact that the construction, the cost of which amounts to UAH 5 million, is carried out at the expense of the residents of the region. "You can build so for someone at people’s expense! And this one turns out to be a significant rich person from Volyn, who is expanding his business. Why not try to invest his own money into it? " writes Valentina Borusevich.

It is also particularly disturbing that despite the almost completed construction, they continue to "rip off money in an orderly manner" from people.

Funds for the construction of the church of the Kiev Patriarchate in Volnovakha have been collected for more than a year on the initiative of local authorities. On May 31, 2017, during the regular session of the Lutsk City Council, the deputies were invited to join the fund-raising for the construction. According to Deputy Mayor Grigory Pustovit, in the war zone, not just a church is being built, but a recreation area.

The authorities launched a campaign to raise funds, which attracted, among other things, the Volyn mass media, which organized an auction.

The construction of the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the sister city of Lutsk, Volnovakha, started last May. The authors of the idea stated that this is the first "Orthodox church" of the Kiev Patriarchate in the Donetsk region. The main construction work is scheduled to be completed on May 15. The church covers six hectares.

Earlier, the head of the Volyn eparchy of the Kiev Patriarchate, Mikhail Zinkevich, said that he did not see any significant differences between Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox Christians.
