Head of the ROC DECR discusses “Ukrainian issue” with Greek hierarch

On June 24, 2019, a discussion of the Ukrainian “autocephaly” took place in the Throne Hall of the Corinthian Metropolis between the head of the ROC DECR, Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), and the hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Dionysios of Corinth, reports the Greek resource "Romfea".
As reported, “the purpose of the trip of Metropolitan of Volokolamsk was to visit places where the apostle Paul preached and stayed for nearly a year and a half”.
After the ROC hierarch visited the historic sites, in the Throne Hall of the Corinthian Metropolis, "there was a discussion on current church topics, including the Ukrainian issue, raised by the honoured guest."
Earlier, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, while visiting Cyprus, met with the Primate of the Cypriot Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, with whom he discussed the Ukrainian “autocephaly”.
