On March 29, 2023, the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv opened proceedings on the claim of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the National Reserve regarding the illegal termination of the contract unilaterally. This was announced by the lawyer of the monastery, Archpriest Mykyta Chekman, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
In the lawsuit, Lavra's lawyer pointed to the fact that any actions that would interfere with the habitual life of the monastery are prohibited until the end of the trial.
Recall that Fr Mykyta said that the authorities resort to blackmail by giving the monks of the Lavra an ultimatum to transfer to the OCU.
