During the period from February 24, 2022 to November 1, 2023, the authorities re-registered 884 communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church as the OCU. This was reported by the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience in response to a request from hromadske.ua.

Data on the number of transfers of UOC communities to Dumenko’s structure were provided by the regional and Kyiv city state administrations.

At the same time, the State Ethnic Policy Department did not answer how many clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church had transferred to the OCU.

As the UOJ reported, lawyers representing the interests of UOC communities in the courts said that all “transitions” to the OCU are supervised by a group of law firms with million-dollar budgets.
