The burial of Metropolitan Mitrofan takes place in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

On June 21, on the Day of the Holy Spirit, a memorial service for the newly departed Metropolitan Mitrofan was held at the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and officiated by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. After the Divine Liturgy, led by Metropolitan Augustine of Bila Tserkva, the burial of the deceased Metropolitan Mitrofan took place at the Lavra cemetery behind the church of the Nativity of the Virgin.

Bishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Baryshevka announced this on his Facebook page.

Recall that Metropolitan Mitrofan of Lugansk and Alchevsk reposed on June 18, 2021 after a heart attack.

As the UOJ previously reported, the Primate of the UOC said that Vladyka Mitrofan could encourage people with his tolerance and humility.
