His Beatitude Onuphry consecrates medical center at Bancheny Monastery

On October 18, 2021, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, performed the rite of consecration of the medical center "St. Luke's Clinic" at the Holy Ascension Bancheny Monastery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese, the Information and Educational Department of the UOC reports.
The event was attended by Metropolitan Paul of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, Archbishop Veniamin of Khotyn, Bishop Lavr of Irpin, Bishop Mark of Borodianka, Bishop Siluan of Hertsa, as well as the clergy and believers.
After the rite of consecration, Metropolitan Onuphry noted in his sermon that the Lord created man with a soul and body. And if the temple of God is a hospital for the soul, then the body sometimes needs places like this medical center, where a person can restore harmony in his body, which is violated by sins. His Beatitude also wished the medical professionsla of the center patience, humility and the ability to sacrifice oneself. In conclusion, the Primate blessed all those present.
As the UOJ reported, His Beatitude Onuphrius consecrated a chapel in Izum.
