CHEYENNE, WY — Hundreds braved cold, blustery weather on January 18, 2026, for the annual Right to Life March in Cheyenne, demonstrating in support of unborn children following a Wyoming Supreme Court ruling that struck down two 2023 pro-life laws. Participants began at Depot Plaza and processed silently to the Supreme Court building, carrying signs and banners.
Carlos Bersabe, a Catholic, carried a 60-pound rucksack and wooden cross, symbolizing support for mothers in distress. Inside St. Mary’s Cathedral, speakers including professional surfer Bethany Hamilton and Secretary of State Chuck Gray addressed the crowd, emphasizing resilience, hope, and the importance of advocacy. Hamilton encouraged support for women in crisis, stating, “There’s always hope when God is on our side.” Gray criticized the court decision as contrary to voters’ will and called for legislative action.
The march and indoor rally reflected Wyoming pro-life advocates’ determination to protect life “from conception to natural death,” despite the state’s current legal environment.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Wyoming homeschool laws sparked a pushback over sports and activities access.
