CHICAGO — The Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas will host a special online conference on Saturday, February 21, as part of its “Spiritual Saturday Evening” program, inviting faithful to reflect on the lives of holy women in Orthodox history.

Titled “Guided by Faith: Celebrating Holy Women of Orthodox America,” the event marks 2026 as the “Solemn Year of Christian Family Pastoral Care and the Commemorative Year of the Holy Women in the Calendar.” Guest speaker Fr. Peter Heers will address the witness of myrrh-bearers, martyrs, nuns, wives, and mothers who strengthened the Church through devotion to Christ and family life.

The conference will be streamed live on Facebook and via Zoom, with organizers welcoming participants from across North America. The Metropolia encourages all interested faithful to join the live broadcast and take part in the spiritual reflection.

Previously, the UOJ reported that Patristic Nectar Family announced a new podcast for women.
