KYIV — On April 3, 2026, on the eve of the feast of the Resurrection of Christ, clergy of the Kyiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) traveled to frontline regions to deliver humanitarian aid and offer spiritual support to communities affected by the ongoing conflict.
The visit took place as part of the Church’s “Mission of Mercy,” through which priests assist monasteries and parishes that continue to serve refugees and those in need despite wartime conditions. The initiative highlights the Church’s ongoing efforts to provide both material and pastoral care in areas close to active hostilities.
Humanitarian aid was delivered to the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra, the Skete of St. John of Shanghai, and the St. Sergius Convent, as well as to frontline parishes. These communities regularly prepare hot meals, provide medical assistance, and support individuals facing severe hardship.
Previously, the UOJ reported that shelling hit two historic UOC churches in Ukraine.
