JOHNSTOWN, PA — Registration remains underway for the 2026 Diocesan Altar Boy Retreat, an annual gathering that brings together young altar servers from across the diocese for several days of worship, fellowship, and learning.

Taking place from June 28 through July 1 at Christ the Saviour Seminary, the retreat is open to altar servers between the ages of 8 and 18. Organizers say participants will take part in a variety of activities, including prayer services, educational presentations, meals, games, outings, and opportunities to fellowship with fellow altar servers from different parishes.

The event will also provide attendees with time alongside Metr. Gregory, who will participate in services and other retreat activities. Diocesan clergy will serve as chaperones throughout the gathering.

Registration opened three weeks ago and will remain available until June 20. The participation fee is $150 per attendee, though organizers noted that parishes have traditionally been encouraged to assist with or fully cover the cost for their altar servers. Diocesan leaders encourage eligible young men to register soon and take advantage of what has become one of the diocese’s most anticipated annual youth events.
