In Borispol radicals set up a roadblock on the way of Cross Procession
Right-wing forces are determined not to allow the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession in Borispol. The UOJ source reports that radicals have set a blockroad at the entrance to the town. Nevertheless, believers intend to enter Borispol.
July 25, the Cross Procession, advancing from the Svyatogorsk Lavra must reach Borispol around 19.00. The clergy and the laity of the Borispol district will meet the cross walkers. Right-wing forces are going to prevent the believers’ access to the town: at the entrance to Borispol there appeared a blockroad with men in camouflage.
July 23, deputies of the City Council by majority vote decided to ban the passage of the Cross Procession through Borispol. Believers have collected about 4000 signatures on a petition to the mayor Anatoly Fedorchuk with a request to allow the Cross Procession. It was placed on the site of the City Council and immediately won 300 votes but later was removed from the site. Petition #000004 with a request to ban the Cross Procession, which had previously appeared on the City Council site, scored 241 votes out of 250 required. At the moment, both petitions are removed.
