ANTANANARIVO — On September 15, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria baptized 100 catechumens in Toliara, Madagascar, welcoming infants, youth, and adults into the Church.
During his homily, he called baptism “the new birth of man,” uniting them with Christ’s family.
Clergy and faithful attended the vibrant ceremony.
Following the service, Theodore and Bishop Prodromos visited Toliara Detention Center, offering meals and encouragement to prisoners.
He emphasized God’s enduring love: “No person loses their worth before God.”
