Metropolitan Vissarion of Ovruch accepts repentance of schismatict priest

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church rejoices at the return of another schismatic "priest": Anatoly Stanislavovich Vasilenko repented for being a member of the Kyiv Patriarchate. This is reported by the site of the Ovruch eparchy.

The former follower of Filaret consciously, with the majority of the parishioners, brought repentance in the Holy Protection Church of Korosten, in the presence of the Metropolitan Vissarion of Ovruch and Korosten, the head of the eparchy.

"I, Vasylenko Anatoly Stanislavovich, realized my grave schismatic sin, being a "priest" in the so-called church of the Kyiv Patriarchate," Father Anatoly wrote in a penitential letter. "I ask your Eminence to accept my sincere repentance in this. I want to be a humble servant in the Holy Church of God."
