Representatives of the SBU also assert that in 2014 in Donetsk region the brothers of the Holy Assumption Sviatogorsk Lavra placed on the reverse side the icon of the Mother of God "a prayer of pro-Russian content" and distributed it at the Easter holidays.
Earlier, the monastery denied unsubstantiated allegations of an allegedly found "certificate in the name of the colonel of the FSB Yakovenko", owned by the vicar of the Holy Dormition Sviatogorsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy.
Additionally, the Security Service of Ukraine did not confirm the information, published in mass media, on the dissemination of the anti-Ukrainian literature by the Holy Dormition Sviatogorsk Lavra. The experts explained why special services had also joined the attack on the UOC.
