The case against UOC KP on destruction of landmarks resumed in Lutsk
Construction works of the Kyiv Patriarchate in the ancient cemetery in Lutsk, in the historic security zone
The inquiry into the evidence of vandalism is reported by the correspondent of the UOJ with reference to information from the representative of the Committee for the protection of national heritage in Volyn region Igor Levchuk.
According to reports, a complaint was filed in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, according to the decision of the Lutsk City District Court, that "unknown persons have destroyed the monument of national importance – the complex of the monastery and the Bernardine church in Lutsk". These are the premises that are currently occupied by the Kyiv Patriarchate.
According to Igor Levchuk, repeated illegal "repair work", completely changing the face of the monument, has already been recorded many times, which the law enforcement agencies were informed about. However, the investigation was closed, the destruction of the historic complex continues up to this day.
Remind that the UOC KP in Volyn region treat the monuments of architecture in a barbarious way; the incidents have been recorded not only in Lutsk but also in a number of villages, where the Kyiv Patriarchate grabbed ancient temples.
