Hundreds of believers pray at the Rada for preservation of family values

A moleben for the preservation of Christian family values and peace-granting in Ukraine

On June 17, the moleben at Mariinsky Park in Kiev was led by Bishop Tikhon of Gostomel, the vicar of the Kiev Metropolitanate, with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, reports a UOJ correspondent.

Believers prayed near the Memorial Cross.

All churches and monasteries of the eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church performed prayer services for the preservation of the Orthodox family on this day.

On June 17 in Kiev, LGBT representatives held the March of Equality. 58 opponents of the action were detained by the police.

Earlier, a survey of the UOC on the Web showed that Ukrainians in the majority share traditional views on sex relationships and take the demonstration of same-sex relations negatively.
