Tithes Monastery reports preparations for new provocation against it

In 2018, radicals repeatedly held protest near the walls of the Tithes (Desiatinny) Monastery

An attack is being prepared against the Tithes Monastery, reports the press secretary of the vicar Bishop Gedeon (Charon), Father Anthony. According to the reliable sources of the brethren, the target is Bishop Gedeon.

According to the representative of the Tithes Monastery, the enforcers will turn a blind eye to this.

"The information that people are already paid for two days is reliable. There will be a serious provocation to remove Bishop Gedeon," Father Anthony said.

Bishop Gedeon (Charon) of Makarov, head of the Kiev Metropolitanate, has been the vicar of the Tithes Monastery since 2009.

In January 2018, the radicals attacked the Tithes Monastery. "Activists" repeatedly held actions of protest near its walls and promised to "demolish" the monastery. On January 26, the radicals attempted to set fire to the temple. Thousands of people gathered for the moleben to protect the monastery.
