"Priest" of UOC KP urges to quickly take away Lavras from UOC
"Protopriest" of the UOC-KP Yevgeny Zapletniuk
"Priest" of the Kiev Patriarchate Yevgeny Zapletniuk urged to take away lavras from the UOC as soon as possible. He stated this in his video message on the occasion of the Independence Day, published on his Facebook page.
"I want to wish that next year we all would celebrate in one of the Lavras, and even better in both our Lavras, this great holiday – the Independence Day," says "Protopriest" Yevgeny. "I would like to wish all of us victories on all fronts, so that by next year, on the Independence Day of Ukraine, in these sacred places people would pray in the Ukrainian language, and even better if it happens before Easter, and even better until Christmas."
The UOC has repeatedly stated that Filaret's intentions to appropriate the property of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church go against the law, and the believers will not give their shrines to anyone.
