Dmitry Yarosh: Moscow Patriarchate is a plague one has to break away from
Leader of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army Dmitry Yarosh
Dmitry Yarosh, the head of the Ukrainian right-wing nationalist organization Trizub (Trident), leader of the Right Sector and the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, is convinced that for further development of Ukraine it is necessary to sever ties with the Moscow Patriarchate.
“Those processes related to the Tomos, the granting of autocephaly — they are really crucial for our state, for our nation. The infection of “Muscovites” and Moscow Patriarchate has struck us powerfully. If we break the chain with the Moscow Patriarchate, then we will have a real prospect,” said Yarosh during his speech on the withdrawal of 5 and 8 separate battalions of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army from the front in Donbass.
Dmitry Yarosh stressed the significance of religion. He said that the “Ukrainian Volunteer Army” had been at the front all this time only thanks to the faith.
In the fall of 2014, the Right Sector participated in the seizure of the temple in the village of Khodosy. MP of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk predicted that the seizures of Lavras and temples by “believers” would continue.
