Expert: There is information UOC KP is set to exit from the process

Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Religious Studies Liudmila Filipovich

Representatives of the UOC KP are determined to withdraw from the process of creating a Single Local Church in Ukraine, said Liudmila Filipovich, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Religious Studies, on air of ZIK TV channel.

According to the expert, the Patriarchate of Constantinople created conditions for the Kiev Patriarchate under which members of the UOC KP cannot get what they want.

“Do you know what an alternative is? It is either to continue to be the patriarchate. But not canonical. Or humbly, in a Christian way, accept the proposed model and become the metropolis. But legal,” the religious expert shared her opinion.

Recall that the "unification council" was scheduled for December 15, 2018. Members of the Holy Synod of the UOC did not bless the clerics and laity to take part in this “unlawful assembly”.
