Shufrich: The bill on renaming UOC is passed with violations

During the voting for bill No. 5309, there were cases of "button-pushing"

Despite the threats, deputies from the opposition platform “For Life” formalized the procedure set by the regulations, which should oblige VR Speaker Andrei Parubiy to revote the bill, said MP Nestor Shufrich in an interview after the vote.

Shufrich explained that the video recording cases of “button-pushing” during the voting was handed over to Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy.

“We asked for the simple: to implement the regulatory standard – to revote this question, to exclude “piano voting” so that such a fundamental question should be voted in the way it is provided for by the regulations, ” said the people's deputy.

Shufrich stressed that the deputies from the party “People’s Front” began to threaten to crack down on opponents of the bill “right now”.

As the UOJ reported, at a session of the Verkhovna Rada on December 20, after the vote for the anti-church bill No. 5309, there was a massive brawl between people's deputies.
