On November 15, 2019, a telephone conversation took place between the head of the OCU Epiphany and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria, the press service of the OCU writes.

It is reported that during the conversation Epiphany Dumenko expressed gratitude to the Patriarch of Alexandria “for prayer and fraternal support” of the OCU.

There were also discussed further steps in the development of the relationship between the two Local Churches.

As the UOJ reported, earlier after the liturgical commemoration of Epiphany by Patriarch Theodore in Cyprus, letters were distributed to the clergy with the following text: Onuphry – Metropolitan, Epiphany – schismatic, Theodore – Judas.
