On March 8, on the Feast of Orthodoxy, more than 7,000 believers of the Vinnytsia Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church participated in a prayer cross procession, confirming their loyalty to the UOC and its Primate – His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, as well as the legal bishop Metropolitan Varsonofy, reports the press service of the Vinnytsia Eparchy.

Despite the pressure and obstacles, the clergy and the faithful, along with their children, went from the Resurrection Church to the Saviour Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia seized by the OCU, where they celebrated a festive prayer in honor of the Feast of Orthodoxy.

Orthodox Christians prayed for peace in Ukraine, for wisdom for the rulers of the state, health, and inheritance of eternal life to all Orthodox Christians.

Metropolitan Varsonofy blessed all those present with the glorified icons of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the relics of saints, which, with the blessing of the bishop, were delivered from different parts of the eparchy. He congratulated the believers on the feast and wished them to continue to be faithful children of the Church of Christ.

As reported earlier, Metropolitan Varsonofy fears that the processes launched in Ukraine are aimed at undermining people's faith in God.
