Archbishop Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh addressed friends and haters of the UOC and thanked both of them for their indifference, the press service of the Rivne diocese reports.

“I’m thankful to everyone who cares about the Church and thankful to those who hate the Church, because both feelings are a manifestation of indifference. As people of the Church, we must not forget that there are things, circumstances that are fleeting, but there is the eternal, immeasurable and immense in all ages. And this eternal calls us to the temple in order to touch the soul with its healing power, to conceive the mystery of the Incarnation,” said the hierarch of the UOC.

Archbishop Pimen added that he would comment on the searches of the SBU in the Rivne diocese later, when the official results of the SBU were made public.

The hierarch of the UOC also urged the believers of the UOC not to fear anyone but God and to keep the purity of faith.

“Keep your own spiritual identity, the purity of faith, be faithful sons and daughters of your country of Ukraine and the Mother Church, which leads you along the path of truth,” he added.

As the UOJ reported earlier, in the Rivne region, the SBU searched the church while the rector was taking cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
